Hello Readers
Well Fall is officially here and the trees are starting to put on their show right on time. Leaf colour change is underway and Algonquin Park is reporting some great viewing.
We have been having some nice warm weather as well and last weekend our guests were swimming and I was in the water for a dip on Sunday. That said, I have taken in the raft and Bongo for the season, the raft now safely tied up the shore and the Bongo packed up and away in our basement. We still have our rowboat, canoe, kayaks and peddleboats out and available.
Great time of year for golf and last Friday I had a great day at nearby Hunysville Downs. The course is in superb shape and I managed to break 100!
We still have 4 spots left for this coming weekend and one spot left for next weekend, Oct 2/3 so give us a call if you would like a spot. Thanksgiving is filling up and is only just 2 weeks away, so take a look at our vacancy calendar, pick your cottage and give us a call before it is too late.

Summer Is Not Over!
Hi Readers
Yes, the kids are back in school and yes the nights are a bit cooler and yes it is getting darker earlier and yes the trees are starting to change and yes we have leaves on the ground, HOWEVER, we are having better weather now then we had all summer. Day after day of temps in the mid 20's, cool nights but not to cold, and the lake is still great for swimming. As of yesterday, the water temp was 21c. I have even left the Rave Bongo in so people can still enjoy it for a few more days.
This weekend 9 out of 10 of our cottages were full, and next weekend we are over half booked out, so if you are thinking about a break before Fall really starts, come on up. Colour is appearing around our property and the leaf change is on its way in Algonquin Park. Great time of year for a hike, a game of golf, a paddle or whatever.
I am just finalising our vacancy calendar for Summer 2010 and will post it on our website before the end of this month. So if you are planning ahead and looking for a cottage for next July/August, email or call us now or wait a week or two. A huge number of guests re-booked this year however we will still have some good spots available.
This is probably a good point to say thanks to all our guests who stayed with us this past summer. Thanks again for a wonderful summer, our 6th as owners of Algonquin Woods, and we hope we will see all of you, or at least a majority of you, again next year.
