Just a friendly reminder that for anyone who has booked a cottage with us for next summer, your deposit is now due and to secure your cottage it must be made by January 31. If you are going to be late with your deposit, please let us know before the 31. Also, if you would like to cancel your booking, please let us know as soon as possible. The months of January and February is when we receive the highest number of inquiries regarding the summer and it is not fair on us or our potential future guests if we find out in March you no longer require your cottage.
Another cold night in store for us up this way, with the temps heading to -25. It sure has been a cold and snowy winter. Ski conditions are excellent. I was patrolling last Thursday night at Hidden Valley Highlands and the skiing was superb. Great snow, not to cold, just a great night. I also had the pleasure for patrolling at the Muskoka Loppet this past weekend at Arrowhead Provincial Park . Again, amazing snow conditions and the trails looked to be in great shape.
The Kearney Dog Sled races are on again this year, the weekend of Feb 6-8. It can be a good time for the whole family and if you have never seen dog sled racing it is a great experience. Both of our winterised cottages are still available so if you need a place to stay, give us a call or send us an Email.
For those of you hunting around for a summer destination, we still have vacancies and will continue to update our calendar on our website as required.

The First News for 2009
Hello Readers
Happy New Year to you all.
Just to let everyone know, letters have gone out today for all those who have already booked a cottage for the summer of 2009. Letters for those of you who have booked for the May long weekend will go out soon, as will the letters for those who have booked weekends in September. Sorry for the slight delay, but you should all have your letters by the middle of next week.
As usual, deposits will be due by the end of January. If for some reason you are unable to pay your deposit by the 31 January but are still wanting to hold your reservation, please let us know as soon as possible. If you would like to change your reservation (the week or cottage) or cancel, please also let us know as soon as possible. The months of January and February are when a majority of people look for vacation spots for the summer, so it really is critical we know what we have available to offer.
Hope everyone's start to 2009 has been to their expectations. It is a beautiful, clear, sunny day up here today, although very chilly (-22 when we awoke this morning).
