Summer Update

Well, week 3 is underway (what happened to weeks one and two?) and once again everyone is having a great time.

Weather has been good, despite a thunderstorm late yesterday afternnooon/early evening that rained out our Smores night. I lit the fire, the kids started roasting their marshmallows, then the skies went dark and the rain came down.

Everyone loves the new kayaks, saying how easy they are to use.

Those of you who want to spend some time with us but couldn't get a spot in the summer, come on up in September. It is a fantastic time of year. Last year we were swimming until early October. Nights are cool, no mosquitoes, warm clear days and the leaves beginning to cahnge colour. Great time for golf or a walk in Algonquin or Arrowhead.

Till next time

Summer Fun continues at the Woods

Well week 2 is well underway and everyone is having an excellent time and the weather has been fantastic and looking even better for the next few days.

This week the group is having their annual Bocci (sp?) ball tournament and they have been at it for hours! Tomorrow a group is off for their traditional 18 holes of golf.

If you are still looking for a place for this summer, why not check out some of the other resorts here on Clear Lake. Most will be booked out for July but you never know, they may have an opening in August.

Summer 06 Underway

Well, it is hard to believe, but we are half way through our first week of the summer holidays already.

The new SOT kayaks appear to be a hit and I think the kids enjoyed the switch from our usual hotdog night to a smores night instead. Had our traditional scavenger hunt today and despite all new questions, most kids scored near perfect so I think Mom and Dad must be invoved as well!

Weather has been good, altho a little cooler today but things are heating up again by Friday and the weekend looks excellent.

Those of you coming up this summer, the bugs have been very kind although there are still some mosquitoes at dusk, so bring some repellant. The water temp of the lake is beautiful.

Remember we are selling worms and ice again, so don't buy any on the way up!

Till next time.
