Hello Readers
Well, when we awoke this morning there was still a small island of ice in the middle of the lake, however I suspect it will be long gone by the time I get home this evening. Now all we need to see happen is the few annoying patches of snow melt away. Yes, there is still a drift of snow along the road in front of cottage #7 and throughout the bush.
The weather is looking excellent starting tomorrow for a few days, so I'll finally get a chance to get back to the raking etc...

The ICE is GOING!
Hello Readers
Well, finally, the lake is breaking up and I suspect will be completely open by late today or tomorrow. We currently have a stretch of water between us and the ice.
There is still snow on the property if you can believe it.
In desperation/frustration I started raking yesterday, ignoring the patches of the white stuff. Now have the campground cleaned up, the area around the ping pong tent & cottage #7, around cottage #8 and the shuffle board court all swept up and the cues put back out. Also cut up 3 trees for firewood that had come down over the winter.

April Showers (Sorry, Snow Storm)
Hello Readers
Well I thought I was going to be able to almost get started with the spring tidy up as the snow was starting to disappear quite nicely thankyou very much and then wham, winter comes back with a vengance.
Oh well, we all know the snow has to go eventually!
For those of you who have already booked and paid your deposit for the summer I thought I would summarise what is still available in case you want to have friends or family join you (that is if your week as a vacancy). And those looking at our site for the first time who are still looking for a cottage, you will find this info helpful.
