Winters Here at the Woods

Hello Readers

Sorry for the lack of blogging but things have been busy.

Well, we have just been dumped on and dumped on and dumped on these past few weeks. I have blown out the driveway at least 5 times and the drifts are thigh deep down around the cottages! It is like the middle of Feb up here. Hidden Valley has been open the last 2 weekends and will officially open up this coming weekend. I have been skiing twice already and Lucy has been out 5 times! Harriet and Louise have hit the slopes once as well and tried out the skis they picked up at this years ski swap.

The lake is frozen over, however I have not ventured out too far as of yet, although our dog Mollie has gone a ways out. For those of you who met Mollie last summer she is no longer a cute little puppy but a fully grown dog.

Louise has been busy running the Bookcase, our bookstore in downtown Huntsville that we took on in September. I have just finished another session of ski patrol training and am now fully qualified yet again for another season of ski patrolling at "the Valley".

Our tree is up and with all the snow things are looking quite festive.

Friends of ours who are between houses are bunked down in Cottage 1 and say they never want to leave as it it is so cozy and peaceful.
