Greetings Readers
I hope everyone's holiday celebrations went well and if you are taking a few days off work you are enjoying your time with friends and family.
Like most of Southern & Central Ontario we were hit yesterday with horrific winds. Thankfully we did not lose our Hydro and receieved little damage except for a mass of branches, twigs and limbs littering the 5 acres and minor damage to the corner of our shed/carport where the top of a large spruce tree landed after being snapped off.
Despite all the rain we still have plenty of snow, the lake is frozen and there is skiing at Hidden Valley. I was at the hill today dropping Lucy off and you would not even think they had just been through 2 days of rain and above seasonal temps. They really do a remarkable job with the snow making and grooming.
Our 2 winterised cottages are still available for this New Years (2 night minimum please), so if you are still looking for a place give us a call asap.
Letters confirming your week(s), cottage, rate and deposit payable will be going out at as usual in January to all who have booked already, with the requirement to have your deposit paid by the end of January.
So, Seasons Greetings to all and myself, Louise, Lucy and Harriet (and Mollie too!) wish you all a happy, healthy and prosperousNew Year.
Till next time
John
