September Wrap Up

Hello Readers

Well, here it is, the last day of September and I must say, Mother Nature partly made up for the $%^&&* summer we had with a lovely Fall (other then for Hurricane Ike passing through). We have had some lovely days and the colours are just magnificent at the moment.

Just finished a busy weekend and there are still people staying in #1. This weekend is almost fully booked, except for #10 our 2 bedroom, so if you want a 2 night break, come on up (or down, or across..).

On Sunday we drove over to the Dorset Fire tower (it is less then 45 minutes) and enjoyed an icecream in town. The leaves are still progressing over there (about 30% change) and the view from the tower is just fantastic.

I have started de-summerising the place, a sad time I must say, and have now brought the raft and buoy line in. All our boats/watercraft are still out and available. Leaves are starting to thicken up up on the ground, so raking will commence soon.

The plan this year is to watch the weather and if it appears warm enough and there are still some fall colours around ( a real possibility this year) I will try and keep cottages 1-5 and 9 &10 available until the weekend after Thanksgiving. After that it will be Cottages 1 and 10 only until May.

We still have cottages available for Thanksgiving, including our popular 3 bedroom #1. So if you have enjoyed Thanksgiving with us in other years, are a guest who usually comes up in the summer only or someone who has never been to the "Woods" before, send us an email or give us a call and join us for a 3 night stay.

Our Summer 09 vacancy calendar is on line and updated constantly, so if you are planning ahead, take a look and give us a call. It is not too early to book a spot. What we would do is take your full contact details, then send you a letter in January requesting a deposit to secure your booking.

Till next time

John
