Winter Continues

Once again, sorry for the absence from blogging. No excuses other then busy with whatever.

Yesterday, we had what one would call a "taste of spring": sun, above zero temps and a certain "feeling" in the air.

But today Mother Nature came storming back in and reminded us that winter is well and truly here to stay and dumped a heavy white blanket of the stuff, plus added in a 3 hour power cut as well. So out came the generator, (that thankfully I had fully serviced and fuelled back in the warmer months), and we kept ourselves warm, the kids entertained (they got a day off of school) and the fridge alive. Once the power came back on and I finished clearing the drive, we headed into town and had a swim and hot-tub at Deerhurst Resort.

Looking like a nice weekend ahead, that for us may involve a ski into Algonquin, downhill at Hidden Valley and a tube at Arrowhead. Lucy is now hooked on snow boarding, despite my desperate attempts to keep her on the "purist path" of skiing only.

Just a reminder (friendly), that there are still a few guests who have not paid their deposits for the cottages they have booked for summer 2007. So please, get in touch with us as soon as possible and let us know what you are doing.
