At last the snow is gone

Last nights rain has finally washed away the remnant patches of snow still remaining from last Friday/Saturdays storm. It was so thick on the ground, my leaf raking was put on hold.

Shutting down cottages 2-9 is well underway now. The pumphouse is now shut down, the pump and various pieces of gear safely and warmly stowed away in our basement and the main waterlines drained. By the end of the week, I will have drained all the cottages and poured in the required anti-freeze into the various "s-bends" and traps.

We had guests spend last weekend with us, and they were the last ones to stay in Cottage #5 until the May long weekend. We have returning guests coming in this Friday to spend the weekend in Cottage #1.

I'll start putting the boats away this week as well and hopefully it will stop raining and let me get back to raking.

We still have vacancies for Christmas and New Years, with Cottages 1 and 10 our winterised cottages being available.
