Hi Blog Readers

Sorry for the lapse in communication. No excuse other then busy cleaning up from the Fall and then bang, into the throes of getting ready for winter.

Put all the BBQ's away yesterday, did a final check of the cottages that will be shut for the winter (remember #1 & #10 are open all year round) and 1 of 2 snow blowers is now ready for action.

It has been a wild and wooly transition from fall to winter up here.

A few weeks ago we had no power for a day and huge winds brought down trees and branches and even blocked the road down to the cottages for a day. Then there were school bus cancellations last week due to freezing rain and snow. At the end of last week we were tobogganing down our hill, then warm weather and rain over the weekend melted a good portion of the snow, but the snow is falling again as I write this and the temperature is slowly dropping. Looking at the forecast (and out my window) I suspect winter is now here to stay and the snow will start staying around.

We still have a 2 bedroom cottage available for New Years and both 1 & 10 are available over Christmas, so give us a call if you are interested.
