Cottage Availability

Hi

Just thought I'd let you know we still have 2 cottages available for this weekend, which is according to the latest forecast is going to be fantastic (Sunny and 22c) and two cottages left for Thanksgiving. We also have a number of guests staying with us all through next week, obviously planning on catching the Fall Colours and taking advantage of our low weekly rate, so if you would like to join them, give us a call.

We have been very busy and cottage 3 now has a freshly painted floor in the living area, has does #6's kitchen. Cottages 3, 6, 7 and 10 all get new curtains in the living areas today and yesterday #7's bathroom floor received a fresh coat of paint.

Till next time

Vacancy Update

Just to let you know, there are 3 cottages left for the weekend starting Sept 30 and 3 cottages left for Thanksgiving. So if you are interested, give us a call.

Beautiful day today. Leaves are turning, warm, blue skies. Had a drive over to Magnetawan, a lovely little spot only a short drive from here.

Back to painting tomorrow, the shed is done, the living areas of cottages 3, 6 and 10 are almost complete.

Fall Colours Progress

If you want to keep up to date with where the fall colours are at, checkout this report. It is updated every Monday and Thursday.

Moose Sighting

We have had quite a list of "furry" visitors this past summer, including deer, a black bear, our permanent residences (chipmunks and squirrels), a porcupine (spotted by a guest a week or so coming out from under the old pump house), and of course our "masked" friends the racoons, but today Louise got the "surprise of her life" when a bull moose strolled in from next door by Cottage #9, then walked through the property and up through the campground. Sorry no photos, but we will keep our eyes peeled for another appearance.

Lovely day today, warm, light breeze and this morning the lake was like glass. Painting inside the cottages continues today.

Only 4 cottages left for Thanksgiving and only 3 cottages left for the weekend before (Oct 1), so if you are considering a Fall Get Away, give us a call.

Till next time

Hello once again. Another lovely, warm summer night up here at Clear Lake. Here is a shot I took a few nights ago.

We were on our own on Monday night, the first time since mid June, but guests checked into today and another guest arrives Thursday.

The house, except for the doors, is now painted. Yes, I will post a photo. The old back shed is almost painted as well. Louise has started painting the bathroom and living area of Cottage 7. Just fantastic weather at he moment. Swimming still everyday.

Till later.

Sorry if You are Not Up Here

What a lovely evening we had last night and what a beautiful morning. This is really the best time of the year. If you don't have kids in school, now is the time when you should be spending a few days up here. Starting Sunday we are heading back into 28c days.

We are taking advantage of the weather and the house is 90% painted. It really looks good and changes the appearance of the entire resort. All that will be left to do is attack the shed.

Also took advantage of cottage #1 being vacant for a few days and painted the living area and Louise made & installed new curtains.

Well, better go and organise breakfast and get ready for todays guests (5 cottages checking in today).

Till next time.

Back to School

Well, I still can't believe it but in less than an hour we will be seeing Lucy off on the school bus. Where did the summer go!

Our Labour Day weekend guests checked out yesterday and we now have just one family staying in cottage 7. Guests will begin arriving on Thursday and by Friday evening we'll have 9 out of our 10 cottages full, but for the next few days we have the place almost to ourselves. It will be a good time to get some raking and general tidy up done.

The weather is beautiful at the moment and the swimming is still excellent ( I was in late yesterday afternoon).

I better get Lucy organised.

Till the next blog.
