Hi
Sorry for the slackness in keeping our BLOG up to date but June has been a very busy month with guests, plus getting ready for the summer. Michelle, my number one fan, will be dissapointed I have not been keeping my posting current. Sorry Michelle.
We had a successful Triathlon weekend and we are proud to announce that our guest Samatha McGlone won the event! Well done Samantha. Hopefully we'll get some of our photos posted on our site any day now.
We also had a full-house last weekend and of course fill up again this Thursday.
Finally got up a "half- decent" volley ball net (we think) although it is hard to find anything that can stand up to the punishment it will get over the next 2 months.
Ping pong table has been painted and a new net installed!! New buoy line is out, plus the swimming raft. Still have to fix the dock after the ice damage but hopefully that will happen tomorrow. Now have 2 paddle boats again after I managed to remove the joy-stick from an older boat and replace the one that was broken late last summer.
Well, thats it for now.
Anyone still wanting a holiday, we still have 2 lakefront cottages available for July 3-July 9. And don't forget about September. It is the best time of the year reckon. No crowds, no bugs, cool nights, warm days......
Til next time.
John

Spring is Gone, Summer is Here at the Woods
Just a note to those of you who aren't up here right now, you sure are missing some spectacular weather. It is 28c in the shade right now and 35c in the sun on the back deck!! I feel like I am back in Australia!
We have guests sunning themselves down on the beach as we speak.
They have had a fantastic week so far and the bugs have not been nearly as "buggy" as usual. I think it is just too hot for the blackflies.
We had a highly successful start to our season with a full house on the May 24th weekend. They enjoyed themselves so much they re-booked all 10 cottages again for next year!
Painting and sprucing things up continues. Another motor is back on a boat and in the water. Cottage #5 is receiving a coat of white paint to some of the interior walls today.
Still some openings for July 3-July 9 for anyone who is interested. After that we have nothing until after Labour Day.
Till next time
