Calling for a chance of snow this weekend but I can't see it. What a let down after such tremendous week.
Cleaning the place up is now well & truly underway with raking progressing (glad we raked in the Fall!), more painting accomplished, picnic tables back in place, new shuffle board cues arrived, driveway looking better, roadside (or the verge as we call it in Australia) cleaned up...
Still a lot of inquiries for the summer but we are rapidly running out of cottages. Canada Day now full and the only spaces left are the first week of July and 4 cottages in August.

Mid April Update
Going to be 25C today!! Weather has been just fantastic and great for getting things done.
Our new sign is up and the old ones down. Painted the pumphouse, powerhouse and other bits & pieces. Also started patching up the concrete on the old shuffle board court (even ordered new cues!!).
Ice still on the lake but it is breaking up and there is water.
Some potential guests dropped by on Sunday and had a look around.

April in the Woods
Looks like we are finally going to get some warmer weather and sun for the next week or so. We still have a fair bit of snow and it is still not possible to drive down to the cottages.
We are itching to to start "summerising" the cottages.
We did a lot of work in the fall, painting and repairing decks. Hope to get some painting done inside some of the cottages this spring.
Enjoyed the Cottage Life Show last Friday, although can't say I bought anything.

Warmer at Last
Finally, things are melting again although we still have a driveway of snow, mud and water and the view out the dining room window over the lake is still one that is frozen and white.
Busy last few days. May long weekend is now fully booked, only 3 spots left for Canada day long weekend, Labour Day now full and there's only a dozen spots left in July & August.
If you're thinking of booking, I wouldn't leave it much longer.
